The most AWESOME primary class party EVER!

I just noticed that this is post 100 for me. Yippee! And to celebrate, I'll tell you all about my class party! I LOVE my primary class soooo much! I have the 11 year olds and they are fantabulous! This is our 2nd class party and we really had fun. First we practiced a song that I'm going to volunteer us to sing in sacrament meeting. Then we had ice cream sundaes. Then we made thank you cards for the bishopric. Then we had a dress-up clothes fashion show.

For those of you who have known me for some time (Mandy comes to mind) - you'll be delighted by these photos. They will remind you of single's ward family home evenings, bachorlette parties and all kinds of crazy shaningans! These kids are so much fun.

Before the fashion show, Tim had to try on the chain mail. I'm surprised he could stay upright. It is SOOO heavy!

Here some "back stage" madness.

Here's Sydney, she was our judge (along with Richard who came home for lunch during the party.)

The rules were 2 outfits and you had to keep at least one thing the same in both outfits.

\
I went first. This is the outfit they picked out for me.

Next came Moe as Little Red Riding Hood

Next came Timothy as Brooklyn Monkey Holmes. Delightful!

Next Maddie as Dorothy

And Madisan as a princess.

Second round (we came in a different order).

Wicked Monkey Witch (can you tell what he used twice?)

Seriously love this shirt and skirt. (The skirt totally has a matching jacket! I've never been able to fit into it so I'm excited that someone can enjoy it!!)

You can't really tell by this photo but this dress rocks! It is a sleeveless dress and has this shawl-like thingy with wrist bands. I have NO idea what era it's from but it's super cool.

Here's our fairy.

And last but not least our beautiful butterfly!

I'm amused by how many shots have dog head or dog hiney in them. After the second round the judges announced us all winners and shortly thereafter parent's came to pick everyone up. As class parties go, this one was tops! I told the girls that next time we'll have to do a music video. (And mom's and older sisters are totally invited.) They were great about clean up before they headed out and I was truly delighted that we had so much fun dressing up. I've really been blessed with this class.

Delirious with dress-up delight!

Here's a couple updated pics of the dress-up clothes. You probably can't tell but I've add several items (including Sherlock Holmes and Watson - see the hat on the shelf next to the basket?!)

Well, tonight was a dream come true! I had my friend and her 3 children over. Her daughter loves dressing up and pretending. We had a BLAST!! It was really everything I've ever hoped for my dress up clothes room to be. An amazing creative imaginative experience. Here are a few photos of her all dressed up.
Here's hula girl who totally performed a hula for me too! She told me she learned it from Lilo and Stitch.

Then we went for beautiful princess complete with silver shoes. Aren't you impressed with my use of hair clips to shorten the dress?
Next came the pixie (still in silver shoes)
The pixie wanted a pixie dog so Annie was lucky winner of this outfit. (She was actually REALLY good about it.)
Next we had a beautiful butterfly.
She wanted a butterfly dog so Annie was again the lucky winner of this outfit. (She didn't like this one as much.)

Finally we dressed up as Tinkerbell, Peter Pan (me) and Captain Hook (her mom). Once in costume we had a performance. I wish I had taken a photo of the 3 of us but I was too busy trying to defeat the evil Captain Hook.
Meanwhile, my friend's son is in the living room playing with our massive collection of Cars cars. He was also in a delirious state of delight.
Delicious, delightful, dream-come-true - I can only hope that someday motherhood will hold little precious pockets of joy like this!

My dress-up clothes room is taking flight!!

So I'm most excited about my dress-up clothes room right now so I'll start off with a brief MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my blog-stalking friends and dive right into the dress-up clothes room excitement.

Here we have BEFORE (notice the bare wall on the right):

Here we have that same (formerly bare) wall in our AFTER (My amazing sister came over and helped me organize the clothes by type and size - seriously awesome!):

And here's the wall that will one day be plum colored and have shelves or hooks or something and a huge full-length mirror (right now it just has 2 tubs of shoes and accessories):

It's actually going to be a dress-up clothes/craft room so here is the BEFORE pic of the craft side (it doesn't have an AFTER yet):

This is our spare bedroom BEFORE:

And here is the same room with the boxes of toys waiting to be unpacked. (I guess you could call it an AFTER):

This is our fantastic new bedspread we got for Christmas (Hopefully we'll be able to get our wall hangings up this week now that we have a stud finder. I'll be sure to post a pic of that when it's done.):

This is us with a gingerbread house from FHE a couple weeks ago. (Not really related to the other photos but it's super cute and I just downloaded it to my computer.):

So my mom says I should start my own little in-home business and have dress-up clothes parties. Wouldn't that be sooo fun?!
