Updated photos

My black eye is almost gone.

This is the perfect one to show you what the terrible is going on with my face. It's supposed to be going away but it's not! (Well, maybe it is but still not fast enough!!!)

There's another bruise on my cheek. I wonder where that came from.

And there is still a big freakin' scab. Why can't I get it off because it's stuck to my head.

So I'm going to church today. Just for sacrament meeting. I know that there will be 500 people coming at me. Well not 500 but a lot. Oh and did I mention I got released last week. Yep I'm no longer in YW Presidency. Oh well, they explained it and I totally understand it. I'm not available to do camp or youth conference or even really activities. I totally get it. It does make me a little sad. Well, wish me luck at church!

Musings

1. I would feel better about myself if I didn't have steriod bad reaction. Not just on my face but on my entire body.

2. I kinda want to get back to normal and start work again and I kinda don't. My brain is not working yet but I kinda miss having a life.

Okay those are my only musings. And all the staples are out of my head. And the black eyes is almost gone.

My wigs!

Richard and I had so much fun yesterday! After we found out about the dr we went and found me some wigs. They totally rock!

This one has red in it!

This one has purple in it!

And here's the normal one.

Can you tell how much fun these are?! It'll still be a few days before I wear them because the scabs still hurts but they totally rock!!!

Very exciting day!!

Well, we went to the dr this morning!

I don't have anything wrong with my brain. They say it's normal. This means I don't have to have radiation or chemotherapy. So now all I have to do is get better!

What a great day!

Sooo annoying

Okay so I have this problem and I don't think you can see it on pictures. I am sooooo broken out. Every section of my being from my entire face (seriously my entire face) to my middle of my back and front. How the heck do I deal with these? I've been using my sister's Proactiv to no avail. I don't know if it's the steroid although it didn't quite get this bad last time. And goodness sakes. I don't know how long it will go on. I guess when I go back I should talk to the dr about it. Although he's a guy and I've already got the impression that he won't know what to tell me.

Well, today I got the impression (I'm a little slow) that it's time I start getting dressed in the morning. I mean I know it's only been a week since I've been home but it's time. Richard is going to back to work this week and I think it would help him to get all ready. And it's still going take me some extra time to get all gussied up. (I just said gussied up - hee hee.)

This week I think I will get some more theories on what the prognosis is. They sent the tumor or whatever it's called to the school. I don't have any idea what it is going to be. The dr thinks I may need to have radiation to get rid of the rest of it. Who knows. I just want some more time to heal. The last time was 3 weeks. I want at least 6 weeks!

Well, I'm still not quite up for visitors. I think later on this week I will be. I still feel some difficulties getting some of my thoughts out and I know that it's not that embarrassing for you but it is for me. But until then I will see you all later!!

What a cutie!!

I do not know why getting pictures to post is so dang hard!!

Okay so these are mostly dorkey but such is the Susan. Right!!

This one is so you can see the bruising back behind my hind my ear.
This is obviously so you can the bruising behind my eye.
You've seen the 28 staples on my head.
This one still had my glasses on.
A little fun.

And here I am all shaven up. Pretty cool eh?

What a difference a day makes

Man, I miss my friends. I miss the ones that I used to go walking with and we would walk and talk every day. I miss my young women. Man I miss them so much. I miss my work family. I miss going to see my family.

I've got one whole week under my belt from where I've got brain surgery done. One thing that I've noticed is that your brain still has some confusion. Sometimes I think that words should be one way when they are another way. The same happened the last time. It took probably a another 3 weeks for that to go away.

Oh and I've now got my shaved head. I'll post those pictures a little later. There is still a lot of brusing so I need to warn you about those. But I definitely want to keep those so I can remember all the stuff.

Surreal, surreal, surreal. . .

The staples

Here are the pictures of the staples. Susan has now been moved out of ICU. Room numbers and visiting hours will be posted soon.

The swelling is down

We're still in the ICU because they don't have any other rooms available. Here are some more photos of the reduced swelling. She can at least open that racoon eye.

In Recovery

Susan is in ICU recovery area. She is mostly coherent and doing well.

Susan is out of surgery

The doctor is very optimistic about the surgery. They weren't able to remove all of the tumor and they still don't know what it is. It may be another week before the tumor is identified. She has been moved to the ICU for recovery and we can see her in half an hour. She hasn't spoken yet, but the doctors said that she is still groggy from the anesthesia. Richard

In Surgery

Susan just went into surgery and she should be in there about three hours maybe a little more. So it's definately go time. I'll keep everyine updated as I hear more. Richard

BRAIN SURGERY TOMORROW!!

I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! Brain surgery is scheduled for 8:30am.

I am so at peace about this.

I get to stay in hospital 3 to 5 days this time. I'm very grateful for that. It will give me a few days to recover at the hospital. I won't be able to have visitors the first couple days because I'll be in the ICU and they are pretty tight about visitors in the ICU. I can probably have visitors the next couple days though. Just for anyone thinking that they'd really like to bring flowers - I'm really allergic to flowers so just a card or just your face would be preferable.

I get to start my recovering all over again. That kinda is not my favorite but I'm growing stronger emotionally and that's a good thing.

Richard will be sure to blog and facebook during the day tomorrow. Please pray for me and Dr. Cwikla. I know that I'll be okay I just think that the prayers will be an added bonus.

Thank you for loving me and sending your love and support!
