Halloweeny

I love dressing up.
This is the 10th year that I've dressed up with Richard.  Good thing he enjoys it too!

This year was undoubtedly my choice.  We kinda have a back and forth thing going with who picks the theme.  (That will be so much fun when Zack and Zoe get to help!)

This year... Goldilocks and the 3 Bears!  I'm really proud of the way this turned out.  Hooray for me!

(The only problem is that I forgot to take pictures before we went.  Luckily they had a place there where they took our picture.)

Zoe's blessing

Zoe was blessed this Sunday.  My sister's and their husbands and my nephew came.  My two brothers (in law) participated in the blessing. It was awfully nice.

My mom made the dress - it was beautiful.  So many people came up to me and commented on it.

I think the best was after the blessing the dad's usually lift their babies up for everyone to see.  Richard totally went the Rafiki route.  She was like little Simba.  The entire congregation was delighted by it.

Man, oh man I love my sweet little Zoe.

Back to "work"

Tomorrow I'm going back to "work".   Ughh!  I'm trying to take it with a positive attitude.

I'd really rather be working at home than from home.

I can do 12 more weeks.  That's hardly anything.  I want to make one of those paper chains to count it down, but I think I'd get discouraged with so many pieces of chain.  Maybe I'll make one with 12 pieces of chain.  See, that doesn't sound bad?!

Tomorrow I'm going back to "work".  Ughh!

Arghh!  We found us some booty at Krispy Kremes!

Today we had our first official family outing with 4 of us!!  This is our 2nd year dressing up to go to Krispy Kremes.  It was so much fun!  This year there were a lot of people there who dressed up.  

I'm so glad my husband gets into these crazy dressing up things with me.

Welcome to my new life!!

The last two weeks...

Mom and Dad are gone.  Man, how am I supposed to do this?  

I've had more than a couple tear fests over their departure.  

I want to blog so much more but I'm so dang tired.  So I'll post a few pics instead.

Zoe White is the most perfectly beautifully awe-inspiringly 7.1 lbs 19 inch baby I ever did see.  

When I first heard her cry it brought tears to my eyes.  She's just exactly the girl I coulda hoped for.

We haven't even officially met yet and I love you so much!  But there's something I've got to tell you... my insides are not the same as a trampoline.

I've got a stomach and bladder in there!!  So please, please I'm asking you to puh-leez take a break from from your round the clock jumping.

We had Zack's first birthday party with family.  

(Yes, I know it was a month ago.)

He was so funny.  

Here he is bawling his head off while we sang Happy Birthday.  

I had to get him out and calm him down.

And he didn't like getting his hands dirty. 

This first year has been something awesome.  I'm so glad that I get to be a part of his life.

Right now my speech is very very slow.

We watched this movie called Warm Bodies.  It's basically a movie where the zombie can think like a normal human being but he can't communicate that way.

I feel like that sometimes.  It's annoying.  It's a lot annoying.

I wish I knew how to make it better.

Zoe is coming in 6 weeks and 3 days.  I can hardly wait!!

It's a girl, it's a girl, it's a girl.  Well I already knew it was a girl but now the doctor says it too.  We are going to have our little Zack and our little Zoe.  One of my friends exclaimed, "it sounds like a tv show "Zack and Zoe"".  I'm really excited.

Tonight I went to my ward's Relief Society birthday party.  Zack went with me.  Someone was complimenting him on his cuteness and I guess I didn't react with enough zeal. She said, "oh, you probably get that so often that you don't even react now."  Oops.  Sorry.  Sometimes it's everything I can do just to get to wherever I'm going.  (But you're right, I do get that an awful lot - because he's so dang cute!)  He had 4 different people hold him tonight.  Hooray for that!  My friend Lorelei did pretty much everything for the birthday party.  She made all the food and decorations for the tables and everything.  That's an amazing woman!  I'm so glad we are friends.  Okay, it's time to go to bed.  Good night moon.

I'm going public...

Well, I guess now that I've hit week 12 I can go public.

I'm pregnant!  Yay!!

This will mean that my two little ones will be 14 months apart.  It's a little overwhelming but we're really really  excited!

Let me just say I'm so thankful for my besties - Melanie and Allison.  If it weren't for them, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have any other friends.

So let me just say thank you!  I really don't know what I'd do without the two of you!

How do I start up again?

I've really missed blogging. 

In November, I had some problems with my brain stuff.  Basically, it was because I was too exhausted.  I had to put the brakes on, oh pretty much, everything.  Everything that made me feel normal.  I had to let myself know that I wasn't okay.  Pretty dang lame!

I think I'm starting to get better.  (Well, as better as I can get with all the new things going on with me.)

I'm starting to feel a little sorry for myself.  I just want work and church and home to be normal.  (Reading friends blogs isn't the best when you're feeling trapped.)  But then I remember my friends mom who died from brain surgery and my other friends moms whose life has been anything but normal since she had brain surgery and I just can't feel that sorry for myself.

Zack is the best baby in the world.  We have just been blessed with what an easy baby he's been.  He's 7 months 2 weeks old.  Here's some pix from yesterday.
